After a late dinner, Judy Soares presented Luc Messchelein (sp) with a certificate from Joni and Friends and signed by Joni Erikson-Tada certifying him as an international partner. Luc was a staunch Bhuddist when we met him on the 1st Wheels for the World trip to Thailand in 2005. Now a Christian working with the Pioneers missionaries and with Dr Samai, Thailands head of disability programs, Luc is in charge of the wheelchair programs. That is Luc's wife Merika (sp) in the center. She helps with the logistics of transportation, meals, etc.
